Some housekeeping first:
If you want the Italian posts, you can find them all here: SEZIONE ITALIANA🇮🇹. If you prefer reading in English, then please keep going with this post.
Good afternoon, my lovely readers!
Pressure can kill creativity. I gave myself permission to ease up a bit and unclog my mind, which has prevented me from writing these past few months.
But I am here now!! This year has given me already so much! I am so grateful! ☺️
If you just landed here… welcome! I’m Annalisa, I am a writer and a lot more. I write all about life here at A Glimpse of Life, usually while sitting at my fave desk. All I want is to live a happy, meaningful and simple life, my goal here is to build a community of like-minded people who want more from life, as I do too! This is a safe place to share and feel part of a big family ✨

I was having a conversation with Pi (that’s what I called chatGPT), and she was helping me understand that I do not have to have the perfect post ready to publish, or a clear plan of what I am going to publish, what day and what topic. I guess I got a little too much into it that I felt the burnout, hence bolting! But although I journal, writing here has been so great for me in 2024, so I don’t want to quit, and I won’t do it. I just need to ease up a bit and write what I feel like writing, and from my heart.
I haven’t read what I wrote here in 2024, so pardon me if there are some repetitions. Anyhow, life is unpredictable so we grow and we learn from things we expect the least. For this reason, my word of the year, for 2025, is “expressing myself”.
The word of the year is something that feels true for you in the moment, and that you want to explore more for the next 12 months. It is usually picked at the beginning of the year, but you can do it whenever you feel ready for it. It’s a word (or a few words) you will come back to for everything you do for those 12 months. It can be that this will bring you to a new path, experimenting with something new, or it can be consolidating something you already treasure. It is entirely up to you and that’s the beauty of it!
This is a free publication. If you would like to support my work allowing me to deepen my knowledge and be able to spend even more time creating valuable content for you, you can gift me an e-book 📕 , by clicking here.
For the next 12 months, I want to discover more about who I am; this means trying new things, doing things I stopped doing, and seeing where my true passions and creativity will lead me. I am a blend of intellect, creativity, music, words and personal growth. I want to read, to learn, to write, to play, to sing, to dance, to act, to record, to design. It’s all part of me.
All I want to do is express myself, not fixating on how perfect or sharable it might be, but just do it, putting myself out there, for myself first, no pressure, no expectations, no stress.
Let’s see how it goes :)
Let me know in the comments your word of the year if you have it, or your thoughts if this is the first time you heard about this! 🤍
Let's nurture this community where we uplift and inspire one another 🤲🏻☺️

I hope with all my heart that we will meet face-to-face someday. Until then, if nobody has told you yet today: you are an amazing person and deserve everything this world has to offer 🤍

I think my word this year is "love." Just pure, unadulterated love. Love of Mr. J. Love of myself.
